oops, i think i posted in the wrong category, so here goes again, i am seeking advice on cleaning ink stains from action figures, need something that will remove the ink but not damage the natural color of the figure. is there anything on the market that is safe for this or any household items that might work? ?

you might try using a little rubbing alcohol with a cutip or cottonball and work on it very slowly and carefully. i have had good results with this in the past but always best to try it in an obscure place like the bottom of a foot or something first so that you can make sure that it wont harm the surface color. but honestly some kinds of ink can be almost impossible without stronger solvent or using steel wool etc. whatever you do just take it slow and careful. good luck

I know some smurf collectors who have been fairly successful in removing permanent marker using products from this company www.twinpines.comSome pictures of what they have been doing are shown here kittyscavern.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2572Mods, please feel free to remove the link above if you don't want a link to another forum on here. I just wanted to show how the ink has come off using these products and hope it is of some use.
